Capcom: Card Fighters ClashĪbsolute gold on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Even if I’d personally prefer to see Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome or Soul Nomad & the World Eaters. I figure if this was ported it would sell pretty well as I’m sure a few Wii owners would want a hit of nostalgia. An intricate story with a focus on phantoms that has some really great music tucked away. A different take to norm for Nippon Ichi’s isometric strategy rpgs at the time, Phantom Brave used a radial distance to move and attack. Originally ported from PS2 to the Wii, PSP and PC this gem feels like we should have seen it again by now on current gen consoles and ported onto to Switch. KOF13 on the go just sounds like a slam dunk and the idea of those visuals condensed into the handheld screen just sounds like a knock out. There are plenty of SNK games already on Switch so the groundwork has already been laid. Giving the online a little polish to allow for the Switch hardware would be the only necessary update to this diamond. The mechanics, the flow of combat and everything about KOF13 makes it just a fantastic fighter. It may not be the newest in the King of Fighters franchise but its visual sprite-work is a masterclass in fighter splendor. I bought a Wii just to play it and I still don’t regret it! The King of Fighters XIII It’s time for some acceptance and for this game to be ported. What other video game allows you to colour a 2d print out of a house in one scene to then have that house appear in the next in game with those colours? A smorgasbord of innovative ideas and clever psychological profiling throughout. Incredibly clever and overlooked due to being a Wii title ( although it was ported to PS2 & PSP) this really could use a bump in resolution and second chance at the limelight. Personally I found it to be the most underrated Silent Hill yet. It’s surprising how much a of a Marmite title Shattered Memories is with Silent Hill fans. This needs to happen just to get more people playing these amazing games. It would be a nice excuse to go back to these games and would make a great use of the touchscreen when in handheld mode. With all of the special polish they received and the ability to switch between the remastered and original visuals at the touch of a button. The most recent version of these two gems from the PC/360/PS3 would be ideal candidates. I think it’s about time we had a pack where both of these timeless classics were together. It’s not just good enough to port across each of these titles individually. Still, who doesn’t love a list of games? The Secret of Monkey Island & Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge ( Special Editions) I don’t feel like I’m entitled to these games to be ported and I appreciate the amount of work it takes to get them playable in the first place. Thinking about how many games appear to be getting a second wind in sales on the handheld ( even if it mostly feels like the WiiU’s catalogue of great games) There are plenty more that seem to have been left behind. It really is a nifty handheld with horrible joy-cons that runs a lot of games surprisingly well. Essentially the Switch is the PSVita2 that never was. All my recent playing on the Switch ( reviews in progress) has given me more time to appreciate why the, “port this to Switch cowards” meme is a thing ( more than the internet just being a hive mind of madness).
